7 Ways to Teach The Future!

We love training and teaching teachers, kids and parents’ how to use technology. Our company is owned and run by V.I.T. registered teachers. In fact, most of us who work here are teachers. We teach you and/or your students, at your school or you can come to us!

Our goal is to help teachers touch the future.  We do this by helping teachers incorporate the use of touch technologies in their classroom. We see this as helping teachers to give kids the tools to explore, develop and build; to help give kids the big ideas, the skills to reason, and to think clearly. Interactive technologies give teachers another tool to inspire, motivate and teach.

Our specialties include Teamboard and Easiteach.  We have teachers who are specialists in Literacy, Maths, Humanities and Languages who work with us. We can tailor your PD to suit your needs.  We love teaching with interactive whiteboards and have seen lots of activities that we can share with you and your staff.

Groups
We can train groups, clusters, one-on-one, train the trainer, team teaching and can offer a longer whole school approach.

We teach the class
Because we are VIT registered teachers we can teach your class how to use their Teamboard.  This is the best way we have seen for a rapid uptake of this fabulous technology in a classroom.  You won’t believe the excitement as the whole class gets interactive.

Apprehensive Teachers
We cater for the apprehensive teacher with little ICT knowledge through to those teachers looking for more sophisticated use of their interactive whiteboards.

Teachers at all different levels?
Our unique approach tests your staff to ascertain what level of competency they are at for both Teamboard and Easiteach.  We then develop an ongoing PD plan with you that allows your staff to develop at a pace that suits them.

Manuals
We wrote the books!  We back up our training with full colour, fully illustrated manuals so that teachers can progress at their own pace once formal PD is completed.

Know What You Don’t Know
Interactive Teaching is full of possibilities and a wealth of tools and interactions that you may or may not think of.  The manuals also offer another advantage to those teachers racing ahead in their interactive teaching skills.  With the manuals in hand, teachers can quickly see that other tools are available with Teamboard and Easiteach.  They no longer have to wait for the next PD session to try these out.

4 levels of Competency.
We have developed four levels of Teamboard/Easiteach Competency- from beginners to advanced. Become competent in each level, receive a certificate.
Once a teacher is competent at each level, they can apply for a certificate in recognition of their achievement.
Note: We offer these PD’s in a variety of ways. Teamboard and Easiteach combined, or Teammboard on its own, Easiteach on its own. To maximize the se of your Teamboard Package, we would suggest ensuring all staff are competent in both Teamboard and Easiteach.

Another Way to do it!
Rather than us come to you, you can come to us! We offer the 4 levels of competency each term in our Training Centre. Make rapid progress with these full day workshops. In addition to this, we also offer a variety of other PD- check out our calendar and course descriptions for hands on, practical, useful PD that you will get good value, useful skills from.

Teamboard / Easiteach  PD

Teamboard/Easiteach Levels of Competency
Each level is offered a as a full day PD with plenty of opportunity to share and practice your skills. Use these skills to start building lessons and exchange ideas with teachers with other schools who are at a similar “level” to you. These workshops are designed to be hands on, practical and fun, so numbers are limited to a maximum of 10 per workshop. BYO laptop and take home lessons you have created for use the next day. Introduction to Teamboard.
This 2 1/2 hour workshop covers both level one and level two Teamboard skills and knowledge. Leave knowing how to get the most out of the Teamboard Draw program and Annotate mode. BYO Laptop to play and also set yourself up to work on our Teamboards. Work on some practical applications that you can use back in your classroom the very next day. Take home a certificate that recognizes your progress as a competent interactive Teamboard teacher. Manual included. Useful for those who have just got started.

Introduction to Easiteach
This 2 1/2 hour workshop covers both level one and level two Easiteach skills and knowledge. Leave knowing how to create a lesson and interactions within Easiteach. BYO Laptop with Easiteach loaded to work with and also set yourself up to work on our Teamboards. Develop some practical lessons/activities that you can use back in your classroom the very next day. In this two and a half hour workshop, work with the latest free Google interactive tools. Work with them to find out how they work and we also share ways they can be used in the classroom to teach concepts to your students. Free Tools from the Web.
There are millions of websites out there; some good and some not. This is not about the closed activities, but free tools that you can use to help you teach the concepts you want to teach the way that you want to. Sandpit time / Teacher on deck

Every Friday morning our training centre is thrown open for informal use by teachers. Come in and try new products. Take time out to play with what you already have. We always have a teacher on deck so that you can actually work on lessons knowing there is someone there to help with software applications. Come by youurself or book in a group.
We restrict this to small groups so book early to get the date that suits you best.

Teachers Teaching Teachers

Teachers Teaching Teachers is an innovation we developed so that teachers could take advantage of each other’s expertise with interactive education. Once a term we organise a 2 hour session in either metro Melbourne or a rural centre where teachers from different schools can see each other in action. The sessions are 25 mins each and are short, sharp and practical. The idea is that after just 2 hours a teacher can come away from the workshop with a stack of practical ready-to-go ideas .
